This collection was a backlash against albums that narrowly focused on the concept of young love, aiming instead to celebrate the whole messiness of the human experience. From the diabetic (#1) to the secret dogger (#15), the long married couple (#4) to the middle aged infantile dreamer (#6). There's drug addiction (#7), political buffoonery (#2) and political angst (#8, #10), depression (#13), introversion (#14) and loneliness (#16). Frost (#9) explores the cusp of adulthood, while late holiday romance (#11) considers a straight man having gay feelings for the first time, aged 72. Divorce (#3) is self-explanatory. And yes, in the middle of all this, there is one straightforward song about love (#12).

These songs were recorded between May 2020 and January 2021.

Disclaimer: All songs written, recorded and produced by Morgan Herskanthia. #1 includes additional production by EDI Productions. A different version of #13 includes additional production by Orishlez. #16 shares opening line with Semisonic song 'Closing Time'. I emailed them but, understandably, got no response.
